Mum, we love you!!

It's that time of the year where shops are full of flowers coming and going... Those bundles of Chocolates are walking off the shelf and overpriced cards are for sale. It's that time of the year where the whole world takes time to acknowledge and celebrate the mother in their life. It's mothers day!!!

It's one of those days to step back from our business and say thanks for all the amazing things our mums have done for us. I know for me personally, there's not enough "Thank you" in the world that could even compare to what my mum has done and continues to do for me. Mums are amazing and I admire each one! So thank you mothers, for the impact you have made on our lives. For loving us even when we broke your heart, caring for us even when we were contagious and for just being there everytime we needed someone to talk to. You are beyond amazing!!

Here's a fun little video to acknowladge how amazing mums are. Happy mothers day!!!

Happy Mothers day mum!!! I love you more than words can say!!!

A few of my favorite Instagrammers

Instagram!! Probably the most exciting thing yet most if I had to be honest, it's one of my most used apps on my phone, besides pinterest... haha But Let's talk instagram for a bit... This photo sharing, liking 15 second video app is one I easily get distracted by. This app is an easy way to share whats happening in your life just by a click of the button.

When it comes to following people, it's important to follow those who inspire you with every photo they post. If your left with people who are continuously posting negative feed, stop following them!!! You don't want people in your life to drag you down, so don't have them on your feed. Don't follow those who make you feel insecure either! Instead find those who continue to make you smile every time you open that double tapping heart app. Look for accounts to follow who encourage, challenge, inspire, are fun and make you smile.

Here are some of my faves!!!

Chantelle Ellem (@fatmumslim)

She has quirky photos and she's also the lady who runs the #fmsphotoaday challenge, which I have done in the past and planning to do it again in February. So join me for the challenge of posting a photo everyday for a month?!
capture

Alyssum Williams (@alyssumjade)

This girl is one of my good friends who makes me smile every time she posts on the world of instagram. She's an amazing photographer who's extremely talented... Her spontaneous and beautiful spirit leads her to amazing adventures that we get glimpse of through her camera lens.

Lidia (@lidiagulyas)

Speaking about inspiration... This lady is perfect definition of inspiration on instagram. Amazingly gifted with drawing, this coffee lover has people loving her quotes and messages. With just a few words on a blank piece of white paper... Lidia has a way of snapping a image with her papers everywhere she goes.

Sophie Gray (@wayofgray)

Sophie Gray is a nutritionist and a personal trainer who is a food/fitness blogger. She always has something inspiring to say. Teaching girls to love, improve and value their bodies. She post loads of delicious recipes and inspiring quotes. Never failing to make me smile on a cloudy day, she's an inspiration for many young girls.

Lauren Conrad (@laurenconrad)

This famous blogger/author/actress is well famous for being classy. She has a way of capturing the little things in life and turning it into something effortlessly beautiful. She's a girl who just loves life and everything in it. From posting photos of flowers to posting images of her cute dogs. She's someone who continues to remind me to love life.

Lorna Jane (@ljclarkson)

What can I say?! This lady is an inspiration just by hearing her name. From her gorgeous shop, to her website, to her personal instagram account. She's an inspiration for all girls, inspiring me to live a healthy life.

7 Days and Counting!!!!

It’s been almost three months since I hopped on the plane to Perth. And now it’s only one more week in lecture phase. 7 day and counting until I leave for my first outreach location in India.!! Wow it’s gone so quick! These past weeks have been truly amazing, life changing, thought-provoking, the most challenging and fun time of my life!

My school have been working hard to sort out funds for the outreach phase by fundraising, including car wash and selling baked goods.  My school and I have been blown away by the insane generosity of family, friends and even people we hardly know. Thank you to everyone who have been praying over our finances and to those who supported me financially, it means so much. Through this, ALL of our finance have been paid in and flights are booked!

This is my family for the next 3 months and beyond. We leave for outreach in 7 days.

This past week was Missions Conference here at YWAM Perth. All day everyday was spent worshiping, praying, fellowshipping, dancing, and hearing from various speakers from YWAM. It was an incredible week with a focus on hearing God’s call on our life. Various speakers spoke about what it really means to be a missionary, what a true joy and privilege it is serving God. We also had some great Bible studies about Abram, discussed where the Gospel shows up in media, what true victory is and how easy it can be achieved with Christ, and so much more. We ended the Missions Conference having a dance party. So it was a pretty amazing, God filled week. A lot of revelations and decisions being made about the future.

Thank you for reading my blog during the lecture phase. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to blog while I’m overseas as I won’t have as much internet access. I don’t know if I will be able to post next week, so if I do not get the opportunity, please keep my team and me in your prayers. It's going to be so good but so intense as well We would really love and appreciate prayer for safe travels, team unity, and that we will see the Holy Spirit move through healings, salvations and breakthroughs.

I am so grateful for every person who has reached out to me with their support since I’ve been here. It means the world to me and I love hearing news from home!

Also yesterday my Dad flew over just to come and visit me. I was beyond surprised! I'm so glad He's now able to come and visit me before I leave.

Thanks for reading! Until next time!

The day in YWAM (Vlog)

Exciting News!!!!

All our school finances came in Friday... Praise the Lord!! It was amazing seeing God provide the money in so many different ways. By praying and seeking His face we really started to see breakthrough.

I just want to thank those who have been praying and supporting me along the way. Your donations are really going to bless people as you are sending me out to reach the nations. I'm so looking forward to reaching people with the love of Jesus and really seeing the way God is going to use me.
Only 2 weeks to go and I'll be out of this country. Oh my goodness!!! It's gone extremely quickly!

Photo update - 4 more weeks to go!!!

We had Evangelism as the topic last week, which was so inspiring and challenging at the same time.  We went out to the city and performed a few songs on that Thursday morning. It brought a crowd and through that we were able to talk to a bunch of school kids from high school who were in the city for an assignment. It was really cool talking to them about having a relationship with Jesus and that God is our Father, as they all came from a catholic school. We were able to just hang out with them, encourage them and pray for them. It was amazing watching God work in their lives and seeing how engaged they were when we talked about God and shared our testimony.

Last week was a pretty hectic week with all the band practices we had, getting ready for our concert Saturday night. It was a great night full of music, dance and just a whole lot of fun! The place was full of singing a laughter as we entertained a few hundred people.

Meet my outreach team!!! Minus the staff as they forgot that we were taking outreach team photos, but don't tell them I said that... haha..... We've been praying a lot about outreach last week and this week as we come into week 9 of lectures. Praying about India and the Philippines, for safety, for what we specifically need to pray for over the nations, also praying to see fiances come through as many on my team are still trusting God for money.

Top to bottom, left to right: Hunter, Sydney, ME, Sarah, Jonny, Alaina, Sophia, Laurine, Shanelle and Lexi. Our outreach leaders will be Heaseung and Josh.

Hello from my school!!!

I love these guys! I'm so blessed to have such an awesome, crazy group who are all so passionate for God.

Meet Sophia (Front) from California and Sierra from Colorado. Top is Hunter From the GREAT nation of Texas, so he would say! As a band we would meet a couple times a week and practice our songs. We had to do two covers and write one song about either God's love or how He sees us. We did a cover to Fix you mashed up with Stay with me and we did Ed Sheeran's song I see fire.

Getting ready for concert in 228 was a little crazy. Luckily our mirror is big enough for us, well most the time...

My girls!! This photo was taken on the concert night, as you may notice we are dressed up. These girls are gifted and amazing singers and I was so blessed to have them as part of my band members.

Thanks for Reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed these photos!!!
God bless!!

Please keep me in your prayers also!!!

Will you follow Jesus?? PLUS Video

Will you follow Jesus no matter what? I mean really? Even if it meant you had to give up everything?

Sometimes it's easier said then done which I've been learning a lot the past week. Lordship has been the topic for week seven and it was definitely challenging. Would I truly give up everything to follow Jesus, where I would prefer to stay in my comfort zone and keep my belongings rather then giving them away. Yet we are only here for a short time and when you think about it, everything that you have has been given to you. The money, your house, your family. You are blessed and I believe each one of us have the opportunity to reach out to those who are in need.

Following Jesus won’t be as much of a sacrifice as it will be a privilege. Honestly! When you think about it, what a privilege it is to be able to serve the king of kings. Jesus has picked us! Just like Jesus picked the disciples, men who didn't have a 'religious' background or label like the leaders did, but they were willing to learn. Jesus new their hearts!

As being a follower of Jesus is a lifetime calling and he want's us to follow Him. He wants to be the king of our lives! He want's you to leave everything and follow Him (even if it doesn't mean literately, but even if it's just paying for someones coffee which I did last week). To have Him as your number one in your life, because God want's us to experience the fullness of Him and if we have anything above him that's stopping us from having a strong relationship with God. Jesus want’s us to give up everything, because eventually it can become an idol it will destroy our relationship with Him. God wants all our heart!

A little encouragement for the day!!

Here's a bonus video of a dance my group did for a project that we had to present about an unreached country. We chose Burkina Faso in Africa.

Fear Of The Lord

The last two weeks have been crazily busy! We’re over half way through our lecture phase, which is so hard to believe! Oh how time flies!

Last week we had a lady named Mariecia Groenwald who is a part of YWAM in Perth, talk to us on the topic of Fear of The Lord. Learning that fear of the Lord is about having an intimacy, a relationship with God. When you have a relationship with God and Him alone, it doesn’t shift or change. We were born to be in a relationship with God and we will never be satisfied until he is our number 1 and God won’t let you go because He wants all of you. He wants to be close to us and he wants us to know Him.

So when you come into a relationship with God and you’ve positioned yourself to face God. You’re automatically turning your back to sin. Being positioned towards God leads us to holiness and holiness is agreeing with God. Agreeing with God is obeying Him. You begin to pray “More of you God and less of me”. He is jealous for us as sin destroys us, so that’s why he wants us away from sin. As God hates sin and that’s what draws us further away from Him showing that we don’t fear Him at all.

“The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show His covenant.”
Psalm 25:14

Thanks for reading this blog and for your prayers! You really have blessed me knowing that you guys are praying for me.

Showing the love of God, 228 quirks, Go fund me!?!!

Week two has now gone and here I am with another update!!

This week at YWAM our topic was Nature and Character of God. It’s been a full on week and everything I’ve learnt so far has just been amazing! My understanding for God has already grown so much through lecture and just through my quiet times.

This week for lectures, we had a guy named Robbie Willingham from Newcastle speak to us. He was really interesting to talk to as he is a classically trained opera singer, so it was so cool to hear him sing and his story on how he got to YWAM.

He taught us a lot on God’s character in the New and Old Testament. About our filter and what we dwell on needs to be strong, because the weaker the filter the more the world can come in.  He also spoke a lot on how important having a relationship with God is. While also looking at those tough questions that many non-believers might ask. Such as ‘why do bad things happen?’. My whole life I’ve had  an answer that I knew I could understand. But what happens when someone who has no understanding about God asks you? I’ve learnt so much on what to say when those tough questions get asked and how much God wants us to know more about Him.

We are now into the swing of things which keeps us all busy. There’s always something going on whether it is lectures, chores, band practice or just hanging out as a group. We’ve started lunch duties, which means after every lunch we’ve got to clean down all the tables, do the dishes and food prep which might sound easy, but I can tell you it becomes pretty full on when it’s for a few hundred people. Yet this Thursday we got kicked out of the kitchen because we were working too hard… haha… We always seem to finish early.

The house I’m staying at (228) has some quirks in itself. The lights in the girls room goes out every day around 6:45pm… But I guess that makes sense when there’s so many in one house and all are using electricity. The water taps are always running and toilet paper, well there’s never enough.

We have small groups every Tuesday night which is a lot of fun just chilling discussing things that we have personally learnt from the week or what we’ve even been struggling with. I really enjoy it as its great just relaxing and talking with the other girls from my DTS (Discipleship Training School).

We did evangelising for the first time as a group on Friday. We went into the Perth City and separated into groups. I was with Rachel who is doing music DTS with me. Together we prayed to see where God wanted us to go. I got the word lonely and Rachel felt we needed to start walking, so we did. As we walked we noticed an old man who was with telethon but had finished his shift and was sitting on a bench in the street mall. We started talking to him and he told us about what he does. We got the opportunity to pray for him, that he would draw closer to God. He was one of those people who believes there is ‘something; in the sky “a being” he said, but he didn’t have a relationship with God. He told us a lot about his life story, about how he and his wife both grew up in Christian families; he was a cook in the army for 2 years and moved to Australia when their son was in his early teens. It was great being able to talk and share my faith with him. Even though we didn’t see a salvation or a miracle happen, I really felt we planted a seed and new that God was tugging at his heart. Before we left he said by us just talking to him it made his day and that when he got home he was going to tell his wife about us.

"By just even showing Gods love, we really blessed him."

Meet Rach, Bec (staff) with music DTS and Villy with sports. Chilling at cafe 9!

It’s been crazy this week but at the same time a whole lot of fun!

I’m still in need of finances to go to the nations where I feel God is leading me to. If you’d like to help support me, which would be such a blessing…. Click GofundMe to donate or send me a message by clicking on contact above.
