Hello blog world! Well I missed Random Wednesday because I was to tired, so I'm doing it on a Thursday...
By the title your probably thinking what!? But This has been something that I've been thinking about for the past few weeks... I have talked to a few of my friends to see if they want to join me and well a few have said "Yes!", the rest have just given me weird looks.... haha... But It's all good!! :)

So what I have decided to do is really enjoy my single life!! Not as if I wasn't doing that before, I was!!! But I just really really want to enjoy it and do random crazy stuff before I have to well 'mature'... haha... And by doing this with a group of girls, I have support and I know I'll really enjoy it!

I've noticed there are so many posts and tips for date ideas, but there's nothing for those that really just want to enjoy life while still being single.. Like me!! So I have decided to come up with a list (plus more spontaneous random ideas) that I will try to complete. I'm going to take you guys along with me.. aka the camera... So that I can also do some fun post on what I've done on Instagram and here on my blog with the hashtag #SingleLifeAndEnjoyingIt

Random Wednesday: My list of lovely things!

Today's another RANDOM WEDNESDAY!!!! (sorry about the capitals..... Just thoughts I'd SCREAM!!! As I'm in one of those weird excited mood... :/ Although I don't know why!.. ahaha)

Anyways, I thought I'd firstly say I've gotten back into reading (So I can cross that off my list!!). I'm reading Anne of Green Gables and loving it! I don't know why I didn't read it ages ago!? I love the movie (seriously one of my all time faves) and thought I'd read the books. I don't know if I'd prefer the books or the movies.... I guess I can't judge as I'm only about half way through the first book.... Although I think I'll still love them both equally! :) Also the bible is such a great book!! I love reading it in the mornings!!

My list of things I want to get back into the habit of doing!!
  • Get into the habit to read more!!
  • Cook/bake more (also cook tea every Monday)!
  • Start up our family fun nights again!
  • Find ways to spend more time with siblings!

Cook and bake more. I have agreed to Mum and Dad that I'll cook tea every Monday as surprisingly that's the only day I'm not busy or doing something. Pretty much every night I have something on so I'm really trying to find time to help my family out more! I miss baking so much and just want to keep it up! And to also work on my wife skills ;).... haha

Family fun nights. My family and I have family fun nights now and then, but lately we haven't done anything. So my goal is to start that up again, including playing games, quiz night, acting (yes even acting... You'd be surprise how dramatic our family can be/act) etc. We already watch movies together, but I think I want to more focus on game nights!!! :)

Spend more time with siblings. I'm trying to find more ways to spend time with my siblings. (As well I know I might be going away for a missions trip in a year, so I really really want to just spend more time with my family and love them.) It's a bit hard when we have events to go to.... So I have decided to set a time to go for more bike rides or walks (if warm) with my brother. We enjoy doing that together, but since it's winter, it's been harder to find the effort to go out as it's to cold... haha... Just last night we decided that we would go walking whenever we could!  So that's one step closer!!!

My little sister and I made mini doughnuts!
When it comes to my sister we love playing games and cooking together, so we have decided to do just that, more often. Just last night my sister and I played hangman after we cooked doughnuts... 'Oh mini
doughnuts... so good!". We're just wanting to find more time we can spend together and have fun.

That is all!

I'm back... I've been busy loving on people!!

Hahaha Ok.... So this title is a little unusual, but it almost explains everything I've been up to as I haven't posted anything on my blog for the past week and a half... Firstly, I apologies for that!! I've been away and really busy with life, but I thought that today's post I could write down a few things that's been happening. Because well.... A lot of amazing things have happened!! :)

A week and a bit ago I went on a family camp with my church. It was seriously amazing!! The food was delicious, the place we stayed was exquisite and the services we had was just
The exquisite place we stayed. I felt like Juliet! ;)
amazing!!! Getting touched by God and just learning more about him really strengthened my faith!

One of my favourite moments during the camp was being able to pray for a couple. Rewinding a bit.... For church camp we went on a treasure hunt which in these terms means: a treasure hunt with God looking for people to pray for/love on. So what happened we were able to talk with a few people, but didn't feel to bring Jesus in the conversation. Many people weren't even interested in talking... haha.. So that brought on an interesting experience.

After praying I came across an oldish (older) couple that I felt to start a conversation with. We started to talk about dogs first, then where they were from and eventually we got on to the topic of God, to find out they are also Christians. I felt to ask them if they needed prayer, and they said "Yes!". We prayed with them outside of Wendy's! It was just an amazing moment of really finding that courage in God, to not be afraid and to trust Him!

When camp had finished, I didn't want to lose this hunger, relationship with God. I really just wanted to keep blessing people! So I have decided to do the exact thing and to just look for opportunities to bless people. To do those random acts of kindness! To show people the love of Christ!

So I felt through this whole experience, I've learnt not to rush throughout life, but to just take it slow and see if you can stop to bless someone or love on someone. Sometimes we miss the opportunities to bless someone as we are too busy with our own life.

A few days after camp, I was able to pray for a young girl for healing over her body in my local supermarket. No matter where you are, you can love on people, bless or pray for someone. I seriously encourage anyone that's reading this to take a leap of faith and bless someone. Who knows, you might just make someone's day!! :)

Quote for the day: "Never look down on someone unless you're helping them up!"

God Bless,

Random Wednesday: I’m half way there, 2 post a week and buttons

I've now realised that I'm half way through grade 12!!!! (YAY!!!!!!) How crazy is that? It seems like yesterday I was in grade 8.... I can't believe how quickly the years have just flown by.... The last year of school, it's so scary now I think about it.. But also exciting at the same time!!! So far school has been going well, although it is little hectic at times. I have decided since this is my last year with school, to work really hard with my work and to stay focused. I’ve also taught myself not to stress… The more I stress the less work I actually get done. So I find what works for me is if I get stuck to take a break from my work and come back to it with a fresh mind set… And to also pray!! As that always works!! :)

It's also my third month being here in blog world! And I'm still enjoying it!! I love how I can just sit down and write whatever I feel like. Right now I’m aiming to do 2 post every week and maybe a third one if I have something AWESOME to say... haha ;)…  But I’m looking at every Monday and Wednesday. So I believe that shall be my aim for this month.. Let’s see if I can do this!!! :)

I’m also interested in doing a button swap if anyone else is interested..!? Let me know!! I have recently learnt how to swap buttons thanks to the amazing Helen (You’ll notice her button is on the right hand side… So check out her blog out!!!). Let me know if you are interested in doing a button swap!?! :)

Thanks for reading and God bless!!!

Encouragement for the day: Standing Alone!!!

Being a Christian isn't easy!! And I definitely know that!! Jesus never said it would be easy, but He did say it would be worth it! The Journey as a follower of christ can be hard and at times it can be lonely.  And Yes, sometimes along the journey we can screw up, but always know that God is always there with his arms wide open waiting for you to run back to him! We are never alone!! God is always with is no matter what!

Isaiah 43:2-3 says:
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

This verse is amazing!!!! I love reminding myself that God will be with me no matter what I do!! No matter what situation I’m in God has always been and will always be with me!! There will be times when the enemy will come and attack me I may trip, but I will not fall!! It will not affect me because I'm grounded on the word of God!! And that’s where I know I’ll find God!! Reading my bible!! Which I honestly can say I need to do more of that!!!!!!

Today in my girls small group that I run, we talked on standing alone and what that means. We have started a new curriculum called ‘Courage’ by Francis Chan. As a group we talked about how it can be easy to follow the crowd and do what they are doing even if it is wrong.  Those as Christians we need to encourage each other to stand up for Christ. Even when no one else will…. And you’re the only one who will stand up for Him!!

One of my fave quotes is “If you want to see a change you have to be the change!”….. Simple as that!! You have to do it! For example if you feel you need to start attending prayer meeting, go and do it.. Even if none of your friends will!! Or if you feel to say "Hi" to this new kid that's sitting alone, don't wait for someone else to do it... You do it!! Why wait for someone else to do it when God has called you!!? You be the world changer and make a difference!! It can be hard when you don’t feel anyone is there for you, but know that God always is!! Just trust him and take a leap of faith!! Even though you might not be able to see where you’re going… Know that God is holding your hand through every step you take! He won’t let you fall!! Just stand on the verse of Isaiah!! It’s definitely one to remember!!

These are a few of my favourite things…. For May!!!

It's now June which means the first day of winter!!! I woke up to the sound of rain on my tin roof this morning... Absolutely gorgeous!! I love listening to the sound of rain!! Anyway..... May has gone so quickly for me, it's crazy!! So today I'm doing my May Favourites!!!

Logo board game has to be not just my favourite but my families also… It’s something we can all play together and get a good laugh out of while it also being a bit of a challenge. But I can tell you it definitely gets the mind working… aka you’re doing a lot of hard thinking!! Haha… As I work in a grocery store I now have a habit of paying good attention to brands…. Which I guess you can say is a good thing, right? ;)

Ugg boots!!!!! It’s so cold now where I live and ugg boots would have to be the most worn item this month!! As I’ve been sick most of the month, I’ve been living in uggs. They are so comfortable and go with pretty much every outfit in the winter! They're my 'go to' shoes that are so warm and cozy!! ;)

My favourite movie for the month… is well… I just couldn’t choose between my two most fave watched this month!! So I'm bending the rules and having two!! hehe... The first one is the newly released movie ‘Parental Guidance’!!!  I loved this movie and so did my whole family!! It’s a movie that has a great story line to it and is absolutely hilarious!! I definitely recommend watching it!!!
The second movie, that's also my absolute favourite movie of all time is….. *drum roll.... Anne of Green Gables!! I recently bought the movie a few weeks ago (as we only had it on VCR which doesn’t work anymore) and got it at a really cheap price!!!  Also I was sick for most of May and couldn’t do much so I just ended up watching all three of the Anne movies... More than once!! ;) Anne of Green Gables is a movie I’ve grown up watching and I absolutely adore it!!! My little sister was able to watch the movie for her first time and she really enjoyed it!! I can tell because she quotes a lot of the movie around home.... haha

Nutritious brownies are something I’ve been cooking a lot!! And let me tell they are DELICIOUS!!! I got this recipe from my fantastic friend Naomi who is amazing!!! So thank you Naomi!! It definitely satisfies my chocolate cravings without the guilt! ;) I’ve really been into finding nutritious/healthy recipes... This includes a lot of experimenting with ingredients that I’ve never cooked with… Including almond meal!! ;) If you want the recipe for the nutritious brownies click HERE!!!!

My favourite song of the month is ‘New Man’ by All Things New.. I heard this on the radio a week ago and just couldn’t stop listening to it!! The word’s to this song are so meaningful!! Just how it talks about how God is always there and pulls us through tough situations.. “He has made me new!!” If you haven't heard the song yet, go listen to it now!!! You can also watch the music video below!!

God bless,
